The Luxman A3500 is a vintage, exceptionally good all-tube power amplifier produced in Japan in 1972, during the “Golden Era” of Japanese HiFi audio equipment. The Luxman brand and its tube amplifiers are renowned for their exceptional performance, especially in the mid range, and are generally considered “world class” by critics. This A3500 model features 7 tubes (4x 6CA7 + 3x 6AQ8, though the output tube can be changed to 6L6GC or 50CA10) and has a rated output up to 40 W per channel (8 ohms). This amp features an OY15 output transformer, the same one used in the legendary SQ38FD amp. The output stage has an ultra-linear push-pull-type connection. The A3500 was made in Japan and features a certain quality of construction you can immediately notice, as is expected from Japanese audio equipment from this period.
