This solution significantly simplifies installation and reduces costs. Functionally, it is similar to the BMS SMART + Parallel Module + LCD + Comboard Interface kit.
It enables the implementation of BMS Smart protection and monitoring functions, while also enabling the safe parallel connection of multiple energy storage units (all must be identical and equipped with their own HES systems). The balancer ensures voltage equalization between cells, and parameter monitoring is available via the LCD screen, Bluetooth app, or optional Wi-Fi.
The communication interface board allows you to select the appropriate protocol and establish communication with most inverters available on the market. This doesn't require a PC program, as with the standard Comboard board; a mobile app is sufficient.
Communication with the inverter is possible via RS232, CAN or RS485.
The optional BMS PC software allows for monitoring several additional functions. It requires connection via a special UART-USB cable to the HES.
BMS HES are designed exclusively for LiFePO4 cells in 8S or 16S configuration.
The system is delivered ready to work with standard parameters corresponding to typical cells available on the market, only the battery capacity needs to be entered.
These parameters can be changed by the pack designer to suit specific requirements, e.g. the charging temperature range can be limited or the minimum shutdown voltage of the pack can be increased to increase its durability.
Thanks to its integrated design, multiple connections between system components are not required. The system is designed for installation inside the battery enclosure (it does not have its own housing). This significantly increases the economic attractiveness of the solution compared to building a system from individual components.
